This season, as a way to show support and solidarity with the rest of the teams in the Bay Area, the Warriors are having athletes from all of the local teams “take over” our @warriors Twitter account during select games. And in addition to being a great way to collaborate with our neighbors in the Bay – it’s also been a lot of fun.
After having 49ers All Pro tackle Joe Staley and Giants All-Star closer Sergio Romo take part in takeovers earlier this season, it was time to get Raider Nation involved on February 22. During the Warriors win over the Nets, Raiders wide receiver Rod Streater and punter Marquette King visited Warriors Ground and stepped up to the challenge in a big way. Check out a full social recap of their takeover at warriors.com/StreaterKingTakeover, and stay tuned for more takeovers involving more Bay Area athletes soon.
