With Tucker Out, Marcus Morris to Start

With P.J. Tucker serving a league-mandated one-game suspension, Marcus Morris will start at small forward for the Suns tonight.

The younger Morris twin is averaging 13.7 points on 54.4 percent shooting over the last six games, including 47.6 percent from downtown. His individual plus-minus of 8.5 is the highest on the team in that span.

“We’ll start Marcus at the three,” Hornacek said. “He’s done a good job so he’s deserved that opportunity.”

Hornacek also said the temporary hit in perimeter depth will allow him to experiment with a three-guard lineup of Eric Bledsoe, Goran Dragic and Gerald Green.

“We figure that Goran and Eric will be in there together for quite a bit anyway,” he said. “Maybe that’s going to allow Gerald to play some of the [small forward] also.”
