FOR A POSTGAME AUTOGRAPH SESSION WITH A SIXERS PLAYER

PHILADELPHIA, PA. – FEBRUARY 4, 2014 – The Philadelphia 76ers today announced details for their annual SIXERS STRONG Teddy Bear Drive, which takes place on Friday, February 7 when the Sixers host the Los Angeles Lakers at the Wells Fargo Center at 7:00 p.m. All teddy bears collected will benefit the Philadelphia Children’s Alliance (PCA), an organization that serves children who have been victims of sexual abuse. Each child who receives services from PCA is given a teddy bear.

Fans who bring one or more new teddy bears will receive a voucher for a postgame autograph session with a Sixers player.

“No child should have to endure the pain of abuse, and the Philadelphia Children’s Alliance is a valuable partner in the fight for justice,” said Sixers CEO Scott O’Neil. “We are honored to support their work through our annual SIXERS STRONG Teddy Bear Drive and hope the bears collected can help these young victims heal as they move forward.”

The SIXERS STRONG Teddy Bear Drive is a part of the team’s long-standing Drive 4 Kids program, which is sponsored annually by Comcast SportsNet.
