The Taco Bell Skills Challenge is introducing a new format that features four teams of two players each competing in a two-round timed relay-style course consisting of dribbling, passing and shooting stations.
Burke will team with All-Star Damian Lillard of the Portland Trailblazers on one of the Western Conference’s teams while Goran Dragic will team with Reggie Jackson of the Oklahoma City Thunder on the other. The Eastern Conference will be represented by DeMar DeRozan of the Toronto Raptors and Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks on one squad, and Michael Carter-Williams of the Philadelphia 76ers and Victor Oladipo of the Orlando Magic on the other.
Burke is currently averaging 12.7 points, 5.6 assists and 3.2 rebounds in 36 games (34 starts) during his rookie season. The 6-1, 190-pound guard has scored in double figures 24 times this season, grabbed 10+ assists three times and registered a double-double on four occasions. On December 18, Burke set the NBA rookie high-mark for scoring this season, registering 30 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds at Orlando.
