The show will air at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 24 with rebroadcasts on Saturday, Dec. 28 and Saturday, Jan. 4 at 9 p.m. KJZZ broadcasts on channel 14 over the air and for Dish and DirecTV subscribers and on Comcast channels 3 (SD) and 657 (HD).

Featuring an interview with owner Gail Miller, the television special will tell stories of how the Jazz organization, coaches and players have given back to the community, such as serving Thanksgiving meals to the homeless, visiting children and veterans at area hospitals, sponsoring a free community Christmas Carole Sing-Along, stuffing food packets for the Philippines relief effort and donating gifts and funding shopping sprees for the underprivileged.

The “Assisting the Community” show is one of six programs airing on KJZZ during the 2013-14 season. Future broadcasts include “Coaching Legend Jerry Sloan” on Jan. 28, just prior to his banner presentation recognizing his Hall of Fame career at EnergySolutions Arena on Jan. 31.

The Jazz broadcasting team – featuring Craig Bolerjack, Matt Harpring, Alema Harrington, Thurl Bailey, Phil Johnson, David Locke, Ron Boone and Steve Brown -- will contribute to the series of shows, giving Jazz fans a unique perspective on the team from the court to the locker room and into the community.
