Celtics Can't Hold On Down the Stretch, Fall to Pistons
Sullinger Leads Boston
Jeff Green missed a potential game-winning bucket as time expired on Wednesday night and the Celtics fell to the Pistons 107-106 at TD Garden. The C's jumped out to an early lead thanks to 42 first-quarter points, but Detroit fought back and took the game in the final moments.
Seven of the 11 Celtics who took the floor scored in double-digits, led by Jared Sullinger's 19 points and team-high eight rebounds. Jordan Crawford added 17 points and six assists, but it wasn't enough to counter a 28-point, 14-assist game from Detroit's Brandon Jennings.
